I started working in television in the 1990s and have since made around thirty five factual or documentary programmes as a director/producer, many of which I've filmed myself. My background is in observational documentary but I have worked frequently with presenters on a wide range of different programmes and subjects. Films I've made have been nominated for both an RTS and a BAFTA.
I'm also an experienced self-shooting director happy to work with a range of formats and cameras. Most commonly used are the Sony FS7 and Canon C300. I also have my own shooting and sound equipment. I also direct crews but most frequently work in a small team together with an AP or researcher.
